Owen’s Stuff (since last time)…

Hi guys!

Once again, it is I, Owen, with another blog thing. Today I will be updating you on how things are going for me recently.

General life has been going well for me recently, despite the big changes that have been happening, I have been amazing as usual. I still watch TV and play on my Xbox One just as much as usual. No changes there, then.

I have a new house. It is located ~somewhere~ in Corby and it’s basically an amazing house with lots of amazing things. These amazing things include my room, all the things inside my room, and all the things I do in my room. The house has about a gazillion pictures of James Bond. I have two solitary pictures of: a Volkswagen Beetle jumping over eight VW Campervans, and one of Ayrton Senna and his JPS Lotus. Overall, my room is sorta kinda cooler than every other one.

I have a new school, it is located in Corby. It is a school that is SO SMALL (even though it looks absolutely massive) that I don’t have to use my electric wheelchair to get around. It’s quite complicated at first to find your way around, but apparently it’s easier when you get used to it (apparently is the crucial word). My school day is longer than Garibaldi by half an hour, which completely and utterly -something-s me off… But! On Wednesday it is shortened by half an hour 🙂 which is good. There is a uniform, it looks quite smart (honestly when I wear it I feel like a biznissman 😉 ). I do Science, Maths, English (two sessions), and lots of other subjects including P.E., which for some reason, they call ‘Active’. Yeah.

I made a new friend on the second day of going to school. We will call him K. K is truthful, thoughtful and considerate. We have lessons and lunch together, he laughs at my jokes although he is not the greatest joke teller of all time, because of course that title has been granted to me. Similar things that ‘K’ and I have are:

• We are both male
• We both have dark hair
• We both like football
• We both know stuff about cars (I would say that I know more, though)
• We both have an Xbox One

Things that are different about us are:

• Our height- I am taller than K
• I have grey-blue eyes and K has brown
• K has darker skin than I do
• K has told me he is from India, and I am from England

I know that if I am struggling with moving things around, or physical things I struggle to do because of my Cerebral Palsy, I can ask K for help. I feel happy and I enjoy K’s company. I would definitely say that having K as a friend is a very positive thing for me, because it’s almost like a milestone… quite a big achievement especially only on your second day!

Also, coming up soon, some day in March… the F1 2017 Season will be starting! The new Aerodynamics rules have made the cars more aggressive than ever, and have made the tyres more wide than ever. Have a look for yourself:

If you’re wondering what the tyre size is, they are quite big. The units are in millimetres, so thats why it sounds absolutely massive. The front tyres are 305mm and the rears are 375mm. Making the fronts more than a foot wide… and the rears 37.5cm wide. Most family cars have tyres around 10-15cm at most!

The main thing I like about the 2017 season is, of course, the new drivers that are coming in. And also, I know everyone will ask me about this, my favourite livery is the McLaren livery, I think that the orange co-ordinates well with the black, which is cool, have a look:

However, despite this, the new 2017 Season will not feature, and will not be the same, without Nico Rosberg and Jenson Button.

Also I am reluctantly going to throw in an update on my Aspergers and CP. On the social functioning topic, I should/could possibly be hindered severely by the effects of my ASD, but I think that it doesn’t hinder me as much as a lot of other people think. I am becoming more independent, and am capable of doing lists of things by myself, but I will admit, I need some prompting to do so. I feel that being able to do more stuff by myself is a big accomplishment 🙂

In regards to my CP, my knees are an absolute pain in the backside sometimes. Occasionally, they decide to dislocate; when they dislocate, it annoys and hurts me to the absolute limit and it really annoys me because I can’t do what I want to do. The last time this happened was before my surgery last year, though, so I am fortunate enough to not have to deal with it very often at all. At the minute it happens approximately every six months, but at times in my life it has been about three times every day.

My other joints are still very mobile… they do things they are not really supposed to do due to decreased sensation. To help with my joints, amongst other things, physiotherapy is something I do every day. Basically I do a lot of exercises, and they work my muscles and bones.

The CP generally affects me, compared to fully abled people, along a spectrum. By this I mean that sometimes it affects me a lot and other times hardly at all. Quite a lot of the time I am used to the hindrance from my CP but when I don’t expect it, I feel like I want to throw a chair across the room. At high speed. Possibly through a window. Possibly one three stories up. All in all, I am coping with it good/great/okay/amazing.

So this is the stuff that we’ve talked about this time. Hopefully I’ll be doing another blog post in a couple of weeks, but don’t be disappointed if I don’t, because I have a very, very, very busy schedule. Have a selfie of me to make your day a trillion times better.

Post-Pre-Christmas Update

Hello people from the universe and other places,

This is my post-pre-Christmas update, for me to tell you how slightly exploding inside I am about Christmas. Some people say that Christmas is a time to give and share and be given to in return, but… me being me, I feel it is easier to receive than give. This isn’t helped by the fact that I have very low finances. Therefore, I would like to instead use this opportunity to wish all peoples and other species out there reading this, a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I would like for Christmas, a Cam-corder recorder xbox thing mcdingy recordyorder (Video Camera), Rocket League for Xbox One, Project Cars for Xbox One, and many Die-Cast cars. There are probably many more things on this list, but my brain cannot contain such information because my brain’s power output is equal to that of a turd.

The final six days before the Big Day will be slightly very exciting for the reasons that I have explained in this post. I will be back with another, longer blog post WITH PICTURES, (which are free of charge), to explain my Christmas in very much more detail!

Owen’s Pre-Christmas Update

Hello people of the Earth (and other places).

This will be my first blog post since June! Since that day in June, many things have gone on in my life. Including something called a Birthday, the release of Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition (and how I adopted it), also, I started my eighth academic year of school, ALSO, my surgery, (jaws theme tune) Halloween, the release of the internet craze ‘Pen Pineapple Apple Pen’, also known as PPAP. Then the Bonfire night which included many explosions and ear detonations! As well as this Shannon has left my house (jaws theme tune again). The Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition Expansion Pack has come out. Then: What is coming up? Christmas is coming up! And to round it all off, I’m going to be creating a youtube channel.

On the 30^th of August 2016 I had my birthday and it was amazing in every way. I got things like (I cannot remember)… erm… Lego packs, AND a Batmobile cardboard put-together thingamajig. And according to historical references, I have been unable to do such tasks so I asked my Dad to ‘help’ me and for some reason it went perfectly well. (This may be due to the fact that I didn’t take any part in it whatsoever).

On the 23^rd of September 2016, Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition came out on the Xbox One and PC, and for all Ultimate Edition buyers, they got to play it four days early! In those four days I did… Hardly anything! But since then I have increased my garage value from around 500,000cr to 35,081,290cr (subject to change). I also have gained 1,551,551XP and have also collected all 16 barn finds, playing the game for a total of 35 hours, 17 minutes and 7 seconds. I have a total of 118 cars in my garage, my favourite is the Mini Cooper 1965 Horizon Edition, which I bought for 200,000cr. The introduction of radio stations to FH3 has led to me choosing my favourite; either Timeless FM or Future Classic. My highest skill chain altogether is 528,350.

On the 2^nd of September 2016 I started year 8 at school, and so far it has felt exactly the same as year 7. Apart from the fact that I have slightly harder tasks to complete, and I am now called ‘a year 8’ instead of ‘a year 7’, well done school, for making my life so different. I am in top classes in all of my lessons except for PE which I am in the second highest (out of 6). Something I quite dumbly forgot to tell you in my last blog (very long ago), was that in year 7 I managed to complete, in a time of 40 minutes, a mile of walking! That may not seem like much to you but when you count in the fact that I didn’t use a walking stick or any support, and I didn’t feel tired by the end of it, it’s quite amazing! To all those people who said I couldn’t do it at school: HA to you!

On the 28^th of September 2016 I went into Hospital and had surgery done on the catastroph-knees. Basically, my legs grow in an extremely odd way. Apparently I am knock-kneed. The surgery prevents this by stopping my knees growing more inward. This is nice and helpful. Unlike other surgeries, it took very little time to recover, usually I am off my feet for at least a week but with this one I was up on my feet within 3 hours. This, if you ask me, is a very large time difference! Right now I am doing how I usually do every day of the week, very amazingly god-likely well. The last time I had a dislocation in my knees was the day before my surgery. So this hindered me throughout the night but after waking up from the surgery, it was fine.

Another cool fact: My right leg (the more able leg) grows faster than the left leg. Around the age of 5, my right leg was 7cm (or 3inches if you’re from 1850) longer than my left leg.

On the 31^st of October 2016 it was Halloween! Halloween is amazing. It is not a festive celebration, it is a way for children to get sweets off other people for free! Mwahahahahahaaaaa! I went trick or treating with ze mother and ze little sister, and we only went up and down our street and to our Dad’s house. We also have not eaten our sweets yet!! Most years we forget that they’re there and completely ignore them.

In September 2016 a youtuber called CHEE YEE Teoh released a youtube video called PPAP (Pen Pineapple Apple Pen). It was an instant hit on the internet and has over 157mil views on youtube! People are suggesting it could overtake the record of Psy’s Gangnam Style video which racked up 2.7bn views since 2013. This would mean that if everyone watched it once, more than a quarter of the world’s population watched this video. The video is very informative about fruits and pens and is very interesting and fun for little children (aka my little sister) but this opinion is not shared with my mum who says, to put it lightly, it was absolute garbage, and why would anyone watch it, ever?

Next, the vets and Pom-Pom. Basically, everytime we have an appointment at the vets, Pom-Pom decides ‘I do not want to go to the vets, so I wont go, no matter how hard everyone tries to get me into that cage’. This is certainly not the best of things, as my mum has got a life care plan for them (All of their treatments are paid in one sum at the start of their life), surely if they cant get Pom-Pom there, the money is wasted? As we proved this morning, when Diego managed to get his collar off, mum tried to pick him up but he jumped out of her arms straight away. When Terry picked him up, he started clawing originally, but stopped and became still when mum put the collar on.

On the 14^th of November 2016, the little sister herself, Ruby, decided to have a birthday. This birthday consisted of a pizza hut, many many many things wrapped in mysterious paper, such as toys. She had two, let me clarify that, TWO cakes. One for her classmates which was a cheeky monkey cake (perfect for someone like her), and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shell-ebration cake (Terrible pun there used by Tesco).

On the 5^th of November 2016 many colourful things were sent into the air at a football stadium that I went to visit. It was quite cramped, because the football team was relatively popular in the area. It was very loud but I’m hard so I can deal with that. I had a great time, as it was the first time I had ever been to a football stadium in my life ever!

At some point in the near past, something happened in my house where my mum and my older sister argued and Shannon left, which was probably the most sensible thing to do because otherwise it would all go to pot. (Whatever that means). My opinion on this is that none of that needed to happen. End of.

Releasing on the 12^th of December 2016 will be the contents of the Forza Horizon 3 Ultimate Edition Expansion Pass. This will include being able to drive all of the cars from FH3, and others including arctic trucks on snow. The first two things that came into my mind when I thought of this was ‘BMW Isetta Bubble Car’ vs ‘Arctic Lorries’ (Or The Warthog). The other thing was Lamborghini + Snow = Best rally car ever. Not. Honestly I don’t really see the point of this, but because of my youtube channel, ill probably include it because it will just be fun. Everyone will slip and slide over the ice after forgetting their snow tyres.

CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! On the 25^th of December 2016 I will be opening many new things on Christmas Day, (BECAUSE I AM VERY FORTUNATE :}) I will probably be getting Rocket League, a car football game, if you didn’t know. I will also be getting 6 months of Xbox live gold, and also a youtube channel! So if you could subscribe to that when it happens that would be nice. I don’t expect much from Christmas because all the things I want are very expensive, I’m sure I will have an amazing Christmas anyway though.

Many many many many things have happened in the past six months. Including many Top Gears, many Forzas, and many F1s. All since I last did my blog six months ago.

 

I have finally got an Xbox One (for Christmas!!) Yes yes yes yes yes! Including F1 2015 woohooo!!! And Forza 5 hooray!! Many many Xbox things, which made Christmas great! And I managed to set a 1:00.8 lap around the Top Gear test track on the game, if you have beaten this, tell me what time this was and what car you beat me in!

 

Speaking of Top Gear, I went in a Jaguar F Type around the Top Gear test-track with the stig as a Christmas present. The real life Top Gear test track! And as a cheeky little freebie, I went In a Kia Cee’d and the instructor went round in 1:44.5 which was 2.4 seconds slower than Matt LeBlanc.

Also, Shannon’s home! Shannon has returned from uni and now we can update the blog all the time for my avid followers and fans (hehehe).

 

I have enjoyed the 2016 Formula One season. I think that Haas F1 have done a really good job at getting points in their first two races, although it has gone a bit downhill from there.
I also think that the Azerbaijan circuit has done really good as well, but the only thing is it is a bit narrow especially at turns 8, 9, and 10. Apparently only two cars can fit through. You will never ever ever see overtaking there, its ridiculous really. Mercedes’ dominance has continued but Ferrari are catching up quickly, and as we saw in Spain, Max Verstappen claimed his first win at 18 years and 227 days old, smashing Sebastian Vettel’s old record.
Pascal Wehrlein has done a really good job for Manor, a lot better than Rio Haryanto but Haryanto has a lot of pressure on his shoulders, as being the first ever Indonesian in F1. Nevertheless Wehrlein has done a good job.

 

We are now going to be talking about my CATASTROPH-KNEE. The catastroph-knee is a small section in all my blogs. It is basically about my knee, which may cause some troubles sometimes. Look at my previous blogs to see what I mean! Recently I have had only one episode with the CATASTROPH-KNEE! When I was doing physio at my school. I was doing exercise where the teacher had to put her knee under my knee, and I had to extend the lower part of my leg. She accidentally pushed down too hard. My kneecap clicked- it first felt like a pop, but pops are agony. It was not agony… Usually a dislocation makes me feel approximately 500,000,000 times worse than the worst pain in my life. But this pop made me feel approximately 159,863 times better; this is extremely weird. I felt I could run approximately 8.572 marathons. So this episode is the end of any further developments on my catastroph-knee. And for this time, I have put very accurate measurements on my pain and stuff 😉

 

At the time of writing this, it will be approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes until I get my new bike! Up until yesterday I had an opinion on bikes that was; they were two wheel- boring ways of getting around- death traps. And at the end I will do a chart to show the differences between cars and bikes.

But now my opinion has changed! But I will still show you the chart to show you my old opinion on bikes. My opinion has also, very weirdly, become the same as Sir ‘Heavy Right Foot’ Jeremy Clarkson. My bike has two wheels, is vibrant green, has handle bars, a bell (ding ding), and it has a seat shaped as wedding vegetables. 😉

 

Soon, on approximately 06/09/16, I’ll be starting year 8 in school. Woohoo. I am not sure if I get to pick my subjects in year 8 or year 9 but I hope it is year 8 as the subjects that I do not like, I can release from my life and off the surface of the earth, so others do not have to endure them either.

 

MY BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP! Yaaaaaaay woohooooo celebration pineapple! The things I am wanting and hopefully getting for my birthday are:

Forza Horizon 3

F1 2016 if it hasn’t already come out by then

Possibly even Forza 6

Maybe a few pineapples if I’m lucky

Also hopefully, maybe before then I will be able to start a Youtube channel up!

My youtube channel will include Forza 5 and Formula One videos; also some Grand Prix Rock and Racing, which I will hopefully be getting soon. If you want to suggest any challenges, or some other random stuff, I will do that on my youtube channel.

Now lets get to the important stuff- if all goes to plan, I want to call my youtube channel something like one-handed gaming (for obvious reasons).

This will be very interesting as I have never done anything like this before. I may also do the odd Fifa video because why not? If you would like to suggest any other games, if I have them, I will do that too.

 

Now onto a new section, called… penpals. I have got two penpals; one is called Abbey and one is called Lucas. Abbey lives in Birmingham and Lucas lives in Germany. Lucas, like me, likes F1. They both send letters to me like a normal pen pal would. Lucas sends many many things including stickers, photos and other stuff. I plan to send him lots of these things back! Abbey likes minecraft like me! She sends me drawings which I’m sort of absolutely pants at, I physically cant draw. Abbey’s drawings are highly skilled in every way.

 

Now let’s talk about my surgery. Surgery is unexplainably boring. Because I do not see anything going on because I’m asleep. Which is extremely boring in every way known to mankind. Surgery will be happening sometime in the future, I don’t know what date. The screws on my 8-plates will be taken out to let my knees grow again. This makes for a shorter procedure. I like this idea.

 

So in general, I’ve been doing alright. Modding cars on Forza, having a whale of a time on F1, having my 3 end-of-year exams, including Maths, French and Science (I found these pretty easy and the Maths, I think I got 86/100).

Stuff that’s happened in the past four months

Hi people from the world! This is my first blog post in over four months, phew, partly due to my older sister Shannon going to university (She does the typing for me). Generally, the last four months have been fairly okay, a few ups and downs and slips, there’s been lots of changes! New school, New childminder, New wheelchair, New cat, Shannon moving out, Getting yet ANOTHER cat, My first ever DETENTION, My first ever actual car-driving experience… an AUDI A3! Wow. Now we’re getting on to the important stuff that you’ve been waiting for *drumroll* …

The first thing we’re gonna talk about is… my… birthday. Yeah, it was on the 30th of August, and I got things and presents. The sleepover me and my sister usually has every two weeks clashed with my birthday!! So I got to stay at my Dad’s on my birthday. I also got my beloved phone on my birthday, its an iPhone 5c. I also got other things which I suddenly cannot remember. (I got to drive an Audi A3)

I want to talk about my new wheelchair. His name is Oliver and hopefully I’ll be getting a number plate for him. I dont exactly know what I’ll put on it, but we’ll find out soon 🙂

Next, about going to Garibaldi. I started Garibaldi on the 2nd of September, my first impressions were pretty good compared to what I thought it was going to be, I thought it was gonna be one big block and a big space. It isn’t. It was a million and one big blocks in one space. I have another friend in a wheelchair and his name is Conner. My favourite lessons are, in ascending order, *drumroll*… 5. English. *drumroll*… 4. Maths. 3. History. 2. Lunch. 1. Going home. Yay!

When I heard this at first, I was like WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH. Of course that means an absolutely sad like crying noise. She has been coming home very regularly which is very good (not wahh).

UPDATES ON THE LEGS AND THE CATASTROPH-KNEE

Quite a few of you will want to know about this, and it would help if you did too, because i’m trying to reach 1,000 views! Thanks for your help!

Getting back onto subject, the legs have been overall, pretty good, however, my catastrophknee has been a bit all over the shop. An example of this is when i was doing my geography project with my sister, Shannon, (which i have aced), when it popped out twice in about 5 minutes 😦 Which is a bit spooky. OoOoOoOoOoooo… No massive swelling, no pain 🙂

Overall its been pretty good.

Updates on the emotions:

Some moments in the last four months have been down, and others have been up. I am being silly as Shannon is writing this because talking about my feelings makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. Overall I am coping.

Next!  I have got… a new cat! From a place called the cats protection league, where i got a 3-month old (for my little sister’s birthday) cat. She is named Pom-pom, we are also gonna get a new one in addition for me this time! Called Diego 🙂 The cutest boy kitten ever, a tabby with white socks!!!!!!! He was around the same age as Pom-pom and we are getting him on Monday the 7th of December. So that is a big change in my life, considering I was previously DEATHLY AFRAID of cats and dogs. I think I’ll one day become like my Auntie Leisa who has four cats and one dog. We’ll chuck a picture in of Pom-pom but we can’t get one of Diego yet!

Now for FUTURE THINGS.

Shannon has informed me of some new splints I can get for my hyper extensive fingers, which I have only just heard of!

Of course, we are getting Diego on Monday.

There’s Christmas coming up where i’ll hopefully be getting lots of things!

Grandma Silverstone (among other things)…

Hey there! It’s Owen again, after yet another long interval.

Today I want to tell you about Grandma Silverstone.

Grandma Silverstone gave me a bunch of cool f1 stuff! Eg Jackets, Autographs, Shirts, Hats etc!

These are all very cool and they were free 😀 (for me at least haha)

I have never actually met Grandma Silverstone, but one day I would love to so that I can say thank you to her for all of the excellent presents she has given me.

Now to go onto the most recent development in my life; my catastroph-knee (Mark II).

On the 10th of August 2015, my knee dislocated whilst I was watching Top Gear (They were reviewing the new Kia Cee’d). I shouted mum to say ‘I THINK MY KNEE’S POPPED OUT’. She came up, found out it had gone straight back in, but it was terribly swollen.

This is what it’s looking like, today, six days later…

You can’t REALLY tell much difference because of the brace, but its loads bigger. You can’t even see my kneecap. Spooky.

My pain was so bad in the first few nights, that, last night when I went to my cousin’s house, I had to take codeine to keep me asleep through the night.

If you don’t know what codeine is… Google it.

Next… LEGOLAND!

It was awesome. At first, as soon as I entered the Legoland resort, i saw two dinosaurs. (We couldn’t take one piece of lego as memorabilia because it was stuck with glue).

Next we saw one of the big lego stores and went in, taking pictures with Darth Vader and other Star Wars characters.

Sadly, when we were looking at other things, I had to take Oliver, my electric wheelchair, back to the car. Because i kept running people over.

I bought a Ferrari 458 Italia GT2 Lego car. It was awesome.

We stayed at the hotel; it was only one room and ruby kept kind of half waking me up (Terry: Er no) (Owen: Er yes). It was alright… not the best in luxury. I had to share a bed with Ruby (the nightmare Farter)

Also, I went to summer school! Those 7 days were awesome! On thursday we learned ‘all about me’; I had to make a collage out of old, rubbish, ruined, magazines!

I am feeling excited about going to Secondary school (mainly because I’ll get to use Oliver). Ive got some of my primary school friends in my school too!

I am feeling good about everything… I hope I survive my Catastroph-knee… (not that i wouldn’t).

An overview :)

This is the stuff that I’m going to talk about in this blog post; there is quite a lot so I’d make a cup of tea if I were you!

SATs stands for Standard Attainment Tests. It is basically, as you know, lots of tests in a week, well by lots, I mean, 7 tests. At first I was a bit iffy and quite nervous about what might happen, but I was alright in the end.

SATs happened from the 11^th of May to the 15^th of May. The first paper was the reading; the worst one for me. Then it was SPAG (spelling, punctuation and grammar), which I am absolutely tip-top at! Then on the Wednesday we had the maths level 3-5 Paper A. We also had the mental maths- you should all know what that means. On Thursday, we had maths Test B (3-5) in the morning, then in the afternoon I had Test A and Test B for level 6.

SATs come in the year that you leave Newlands and go to Garibaldi. The SATs results will tell you which class you will be in at Secondary School; I suppose I’ll be near the top. I am not scared at all about going to Garibaldi. (Shannon thinks this is a lie). The biggest thing I will be excited about is 1) using Oliver, my new wheelchair, and 2) puddings at dinner.

Oliver is my new electric wheelchair, I got him on the 12^th of May but I was presented with it on the 20^th of May, at the BMW PGA Golf Championships at Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey. The wheelchair was unexpectedly big! I entered a golf competition where you had to try and get the golf ball in the holes behind a little wood block thingy where you have to chip the ball over the block. AND I won! Well I was put in a prize draw to go to the USA.

Peter Alliss presented me with my chair and then I got to meet 1996 formula 1 world champion: DAMON HILL! I had a really excellent conversation with him for about 15 seconds! I don’t use Oliver all the time, sometimes I use Walkie, my walking stick.

On the 30^th May at 4:00 in the mornin’ I set off on a 6 hour drive to Looe, Cornwall. I stayed in a cottage that was very enjoyable. Under my bed was a box of rat poison. Ruby did not realise and picked it up to show mum, we then washed our hands. The most amazing thing was watching mum spend £110 in a shop. We went to Trago Mills, a shopping centre and bought some books e.g the stigtionary, a dictionary about Top Gear, the amazing show that cannot spell Koengsegg. They spell it Koengseggnseggnseggnseggnseggnseggnseggnsegg.

I am planning on building a soapbox racer, a car that doesn’t have an accelerator pedal but is powered not by sprouts but by push power. It is a very interesting sport because there are downhill areas of the course (it would not go anywhere otherwise) and they are mostly made out of wood or something else.

Basically, my surgery also happened. It happened on the 13^th of March 2015, and after the surgery I puked all over my mum’s converse. The surgery isn’t really working. It’s supposed to straighten up my legs- so technically I have to grow for it to work.

My knee is doing not so good in general, because basically, on my holiday right, my left knee had some trouble in the night and the next morning- I couldn’t walk unsupported. I took about 20 minutes getting from my room to the living room which were LITERALLY next door to each other.

Normally my left knee is about half the size of my right knee, when it’s well. But when it pops out, it is gigantic. It is just about 3x bigger- its just wrong, painful, hot, painful, hot, did I mention it was painful? You could literally not imagine what it is like.

Today I can walk without walkie, so basically with a bit more waiting we hope it will get much better.

I hope that I will get better, of course, and as soon as I can, because I want to go karting; I’ve only ever been once and even then my brother accused me of forcing him off the track. In that incident I was lifted about a foot out of my seat. I landed so hard that my helmet went wonky.

Life right now is relaxing, fun because it’s a weekend, and very good. This blog is about lots of stuff that is interesting about me.

Owen’s Top 15 Favourite Cars

In this blog post, Owen wanted to add something that is very important to him; his favourite 15 cars. There were, in fact, 37, but I refused to type out that much nonsense.

15: Peel P50

If you didn’t know, i always like small cars. But the Peel P50 is the tidgiest car in the world, apparently the same size as a washing machine. Jeremy Clarkson drove the Peel P50 into his office at BBC and he wanted to drive it through a lift but then realised it had 3 forward gears and no reverse. These are the main reasons I like the Peel P50.

14: Aston Martin DBR9

The reason I like this car is because I also love fast cars. But the sad thing is, fast cars are expensive cars. So I cannot buy one. That is a shame. So the Aston Martin DBR9 costs half a million pounds. But the thing is… it has 600 horse power, about half that of a standard F1 car. It is one of the fastest cars around the top gear test track, doing 1 minute 10 seconds. It also has air conditioning. These are the reasons I like the Aston Martin DBR9.

13: Ariel Atom V8

It looks like an F1 car, except smaller, with side pods replaced with tons of tubes, and it went extremely fast. It goes so fast! When Jeremy Clarkson drove the Ariel bare-headed, the sides of his mouth went back like all flabby at the sides because the wind was passing through his mouth extremely quickly. This explains why it’s top speed is 200mph. These are the reasons I like the Ariel Atom V8.

12: Pagani Zonda

I am sure Richard Hammond will agree with me on this; the Pagani Zonda is one of the fastest and greatest cars in the history of cars. This was Pagani’s first car, built in 2003, it was immensely fast. Not unlike most family cars, the rear was bigger than the front, bonnet-wise. As this was Pagani’s first car, you would think they didn’t know what they were doing, but boy, they did. These are the reasons why I like the Pagani Zonda.

11: Pagani Huayra

The Pagani Huayra is Pagani’s second ever car. It costs £660,000, but if you buy it new, £800,000! As you would expect, the Pagani Huayra is immensely fast. This is a funny thing about the gears though, there are paddles on the back of the steering wheel, and like in most family cars, there is a gear stick, with 67 mechanical parts arranged just to hear the mechanical click of a gear being selected. And it is built from something called carbontanium (a blend of carbon fibre and titanium). This makes this car extremely light and unshatterable upon impact, thus making it safer. This car is rear wheel drive, and as you would expect from a fast car, it went round the top gear test track in 1 minute 13.8 seconds; that is extremely fast. I like the Pagani Huayra for these reasons.

10: McLaren P1

The McLaren P1, is, since McLaren hasn’t made many road cars, one of the first. The McLaren P1 is extremely fast, apparently costing up to £1,000,000! This amount of money, you probably think, would mean about 1,200 horse power, but no, it has 900 horse power, and it has a hybrid engine; if you do not know what a hybrid engine is, it is a normal fuel tank like in a regular car, but along with some electric motors. This means it is extremely fast. Thats why the McLaren P1 is wicked.

9: Koenegesegg Agera-R

The first thing I have to say about this car is because it is the fastest car ever made, going up to a top speed of 273mph. That would get you from Forest Town to Goodwood and 50 miles more, if it was at top speed in an hour. In case you didn’t know, which you should, that is FAST. I don’t know what time it was around the top gear test track, but it would probably be fast. That’s why the Koenegesegg Agera-R is awesome.

8: Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

If you didn’t know what Sesto Elemento means, it means 6th element in italian, which is, Carbon. Most people know that carbon =  fastness. Thats exactly what you’d think. As Richard Hammond once famously said, it looks like an evil spaceship. One of the reasons for this is because it has upside-down teardrop shapes, ten to be exact, on the engine cover. I don’t know what they’re for. Also weirdly, on the front, where the windscreen and the bonnet of the car meet, there are triangles cut out on each side and underneath is a red carbon/plastic mesh. This makes it look extremely cool and super fast with a top speed of around 212mph.

7: Lotus T125

This sounds like a formula 1 car. It pretty much is, except its road legal, with headlights and indicators and all that stuff that cars need. Since it was designed like a formula one car, it went round the TG test track in 1 minute 3.8 seconds. That is extremely officially fast. Even Jean Alesi (a former f1 driver) struggled to manoeuvre it.

6: McLaren F1

The reason I like this car was because, it was the fastest car in the 1990s. Also, the name says F1 which sounds cool. And it’s a McLaren which means it’s going to be craaaaaazy fast. It is very cool because of its ridiculous speed.

5: Bugatti Veyron 16.4

This is the first Bugatti Veyron ever made! But with a top speed of 253mph, it was one of the fastest cars ever (and still is). The Bugatti Veyron is very cool because you can get it as a mixture of red and black or orange and black.I also like it because I got it on one of my sports car games and I took it round the Shanghai F1 circuit. A formula 1 car can go round in an average of 1minute 40secs, but I took the Bugatti around in… 2minutes 17.82secs! Which, as you know isn’t very fast. I argue that it was the car, not the driver that was the problem. This car is very cool and awesome.

4: Bugatti Veyron Sport Vitesse

This is faster than the normal Veyron, going at a top speed of 255mph. I drove it round the Zhuhai international circuit in around 1minute 20.67secs. This car is very cool because it is a convertible version. I also drove the Sport Vitesse around Yun-Long lake, which is an ice track, and I took it round in about 47secs! That was because of its coolness and speed.

3: BMW 3 Series

The reason I like this car is because: 1, my dad has one, 2, my dad has one, and 3, my dad has one. Also it is very cool and I would like to take it onto the German Autobahn to see if it’s engine would fail at top speed. (I don’t think that it will, because it is a BMW [reliable]). My dad says it’s not as bad as a Volkswagen.

2: Bugatti Veyron Supersport

Everyone would ask me this: what is its top speed?! Wait for it… It is… 268mph! Which is one of the fastest road cars in the world. Behind the JCB Diesel Max (350.1mph). This is very cool because you think “JCB, Tractor, slow.” But you are completely wrong about the JCB Diesel Max. The supersport is MEGA COOL and has the ability to empty your bank account… it costs around $1,660,000! That is quite expensive and you would not want to waste your money on something that was awful. However this is cool so its okay.

1: Rolls Royce Phantom Drop Head Coupe

You’d think the drop head coupe would just mean ‘convertible’, but people’s heads might become unscrewed as they crane their necks to look at this fantastic machine. It is lined with cashmere (a type of goat hair), and you get 460 feet of body welding. Not a misprint. That is ridiculously ridiculous. That would be very cool and guess how much it weighs! 2.625tonnes! Which as you know, is extremely heavy. It’s top speed is 149mph.

I am so obsesses with cars because I’m awesome and going fast is cool. Its more cool than running around a pitch getting tired (football). My awesomeness, is awesome. My new electric wheelchair (that i will be getting on the 20th of may) has a top speed of………… 4mph! ;D I’m going to put a number plate on it saying ‘ASP13 1’. That is quite cool.

Q&A Answers!

Hello everyone, this is Owen again! Today we will be doing a Q&A (question and answer) session. When I reached 5 twitter followers, my sister and I arranged this session. You guys sent me questions in to my email address, and today I’m going to answer them!

Question One: What is the most fun thing you have ever done? 

When I went on holiday to Goodwood! Goodwood was epic; I got to sit in the safety car, and I got a picture with Sebastian Buemi (former Toro Rosso driver). I also saw Alan Prost, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. It was just epic all-round, I cannot say anything more about it.

Question Two: Who most influences you in life?

This one is really hard. I’d just like to say; Everyone that helps me. Everyone and Anyone. When Gramps, Nan nan, Dad and Shannon helped me when my knee went ‘asdfghjkl’, Mum, for being my mum, she’s quite funny, likes similar programs. She and my Dad are the two Main Ones in my life. 

Question Three: When you are feeling down, what do you do to cheer you up?

Basically… Whatever I can. Sometimes I just sit down, do nothing, and think of pickled sausages. Other times I sing random words to distract myself. I sometimes tell people when I feel down, however this is mostly when I have nightmares and so is very rare.

Question Four: What is the biggest challenge that you face thanks to Cerebral Palsy?

Definitely trying to score a goal in football. In my 400+ matches, I have scored two goals, both from penos (penalties). Outside of school, I have scored three. Two from penos, and one from an absolute  blaster from about 30 yards(27.43200 metres).

Question Five: Describe Aspergers in five words!

Challenging, Supercalifrgilisticexpialidocious,Awesome, Fun, Special.

Question Six: What are the biggest obstacles you face overall in life, and how do you face them and beat them?

Trying to get the ball passed to me in football. None of my friends actually listen to me when I’m in a BIG CLEAR SPACE. At Grant’s Club, Im the oldest, so I’m the precious part of the team, and they pass to me there. So in general life, unless I tackle people (unlikely also for obvious reasons), I don’t get passed to. Even though I’m a defender, I like to get upfield, sometimes as a centre-mid, sometimes as a winger, but I’m hopeless at being a winger. Haha.

Question Seven: Where do you see yourself at the age of 21?

In my mansion, driving a Bugatti Veyron or a PEEL P50. If you don’t know what a PEEL P50 is, here is a picture:

Question Eight: Describe your close family and friends using one word per person.

Mum: Awesome.
